Checking Accounts

Regular checking account – No charge if the minimum average daily balance for the statement cycle is maintained. A monthly maintenance fee and a debit item fee will be assessed if the average daily balance falls below the minimum during a statement cycle. High school students up to one year after graduation are not subject to fees regardless of balance.

South Story Advantage – A flat monthly club fee provides the account holder(s) with a $15,000.00 accidental death and dismemberment insurance policy as well as unlimited transactions, a portion of the cost of printed checks and other selected services.

Now Account – Maintain the minimum average daily balance during the statement cycle and receive a competitive interest rate compounded and credited monthly with no fees. A monthly maintenance fee and a debit item fee apply if the minimum daily average balance during the statement cycle is not maintained. Senior citizens (age 60) are not subject to fees regardless of balance.

South Story Bank & Trust is participating in the FDIC's Transaction Account Guarantee Program. Under that program, through June 30, 2010, all noninterest-bearing transaction accounts are fully guaranteed by the FDIC for the entire amount in the account. Coverage under the Transaction Account Guarantee Program is in addition to and seperate from the coverage available under the FDIC's general deposit insurance rules.
