Position Overview

Do you enjoy building real relationships and helping partners grow over time? Are you energized by meaningful conversations and being a trusted point of contact?

As an Account Manager, you’ll manage and grow relationships with our existing P&C insurance agents and brokers. Your focus will be on deepening those partnerships, understanding agency needs, and identifying opportunities to grow business – while also developing new connections.

This role is a great fit if you’re self‑motivated, personable, and have experience working with insurance agencies or similar B2B clients. If you value follow‑through, consistency, and long‑term success over quick wins, you’ll feel right at home.

Success in this role comes from building trust, delivering value, and expanding business through existing and new partnerships.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with our existing insurance agents and brokers, ensuring consistent value and convenience.
  • Coordinate closely with assigned inside agent representatives and operations teams to provide a highly personalized level of service uncommon in the industry.
  • Maximize premium finance revenue relative to cost-of-funds across a portfolio of partner agencies by demonstrating value and effectively using all available account management tools and incentives.
  • Collaborate with the President and Sales Trainer to develop and execute account management strategies that achieve growth goals.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, client interactions, and progress toward goals within the CRM system.
  • Secondarily, Identify and pursue new commercial agency relationships that would benefit from a boutique premium finance partner to earn bonuses for introducing new agency relationships to IFC.

 

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business or a related field (preferred)
  • 5 years of relationship management or sales experience.
  • Strong understanding of premium finance products and services (or willingness to learn).
  • Clear proven experience in consultative selling and understanding the business they are calling on.
  • Prior experience calling on businesses; experience with insurance agencies is strongly preferred.
  • Premium finance, banking, or financial services background is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed account retention and growth targets.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable working independently.
  • Proficient with CRM systems and common sales tools.

Travel

  • Willingness to travel 1-2 nights/month within the assigned territory for in-person meetings.
