Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Deposit Operations Associate to join our team. In this role, you support various deposit operation functions and provide first level support to branch staff regarding customers and deposit accounts.  You will be at the forefront of our efforts to support local businesses and stimulate economic growth in the communities we serve.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Account Maintenance: Handle various account file maintenance requests, including customer information updates, account type changes, and verification of deposit submissions. Review and import client documentation for new and updated deposit accounts.
  • Resolutions: Assist in trouble shooting problems related to customer accounts, including returns, statement notices, and errors.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with internal controls by reviewing completed system maintenance and source documents.
  • Report Review & Reconciliation: Regularly review and action internal reports, perform reconciliations of assigned general ledgers.
  • Funds Movements: Efficiently process incoming and outgoing wire transfers accurately and timely. Monitor and address any issues related to ACH files.
  • Electronic Banking Support: Provide support for electronic banking platforms, debit/ATM card services, and troubleshoot customer account issues.
  • Procedure Updates: Assists in updating departmental and bank procedures as needed.
  • Collaboration & Problem Solving: Partner with internal teams, service providers, and clients to troubleshoot issues and deliver effective solutions. Actively contribute to cross-functional initiatives and process improvement efforts.
  • Administrative & Backup Support: Provide backup coverage and support departmental initiatives as needed, fostering a collaborative and responsive team environment. Additional responsibilities may be assigned in alignment with the Bank’s mission, vision, and core values.

 

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certifications preferred.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of prior deposit operations or retail banking experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and have reliable transportation.
