Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Loan Associate to join our team. In this role, you will coordinate and prepare loan documentation for commercial, consumer, agricultural, and consumer mortgage loans throughout the entire loan process. You will process, prepare, book fund loan transactions and handle post-close loan items. You will be at the forefront of our efforts to support local businesses and stimulate economic growth in the communities we serve.

 

Key Responsibilities

·      Communication: Collaborate with bank staff and loan officers to promote efficient workflow and establish positive work relationships across the organization.  Proactively work with assigned lenders to accurately prepare loan documents in Laser Pro.

·      Loan Processing: Complete Abrigo workflow assigned steps such as ordering title work, completing CIP on borrowers, pulling flood determinations, UCC searches, and inputting HMDA data collection. Prepare loan documentation in Laser Pro, book and fund loans in Fiserv Premier. Manage all post-closing functions such as recording documents, disbursing funds, ensuring collateral is perfected, exception tracking completed, building ticklers and sending loan package to imaging. Work ticklers while coordinating with lenders using applicable systems such as Fiserv Premier and Abrigo.

·       Loan Servicing: Service current loans by posting payments, payoffs, draw requests, escrow servicing, collateral management, transfers, releases, and other customer requests.  

·      Quality Control: Complete loan checkbacks, loan reviews, and review all loanpostings for quality control.  Balance Loan Operations general ledgers and deposit accounts.

·      Regulatory Compliance: Follow operational policies and procedures toensure compliance with State and Federal regulations and internal compliancerequirements.  Adhere to Bank forms,notices, procedures, and monitoring processes for compliance with the BankSecrecy Act and related regulations such as, appraisal disclosures, jointintent, flood, and HMDA.

 

Qualifications

·      High school diploma or equivalent required;additional education or certifications preferred.

·      Minimum of 2-3 years of credit or loan operationsexperience with an understanding of loan documentation.

·      Experience with Laser Pro, Abrigo, FiservPremier/Business Analytics, preferred.

·      Excellent oral and written communication skills.

·      Attention to detail and strong organizationalskills.

·      Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

·      Must be able to carry out detailed written and oral directions, procedures, and be able to properly handle confidentialmaterials and information.

·      Must be able to make accurate mathematicalcalculations.

·      Must possess a valid driver’s license, havereliable transportation, and be willing to travel as needed for businesspurposes.
