Position Overview

 

We are seeking an experienced Universal Banker to join our Retail team. This position will report directly to SVP Retail Operations. In this role, you will help deepen customer relationships, attract additional customers and directly service customers with their consumer banking needs. This position is responsible for opening new deposits, offering and promoting additional products to customers and prospects, assisting customers with services and supporting the overall sales efforts of the bank. This position will also be responsible for assisting customers with consumer loan needs. You will be at the forefront of our efforts to support local businesses and stimulate economic growth in the communities we serve.

 

Key Responsibilities

·      Customer Service: Assisting clients within inquiries, account management, and financial transactions.

·      Transaction Handling: Processing deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and account transfers.

·      Sales& Advisory: Helping customers open new accounts, explaining banking products, and cross-selling services.

·      Cash Management: Balancing cash drawers and ensuring transaction accuracy.

·      Branch Operations: Supporting daily banking functions, preparing reports, and maintaining compliance with regulations. Identify and report suspicious activity.

 

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.  College degree in Accounting, Finance or Business is preferred; 2-3 years teller experience required, consumer lending experience beneficial.  
  • Must be able to make accurate mathematical calculations and carry out detailed written and oral directions.
  • Must be able to properly handle confidential materials and information.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing customer needs.
  • Proficiency in banking software and digital platforms.
  • Basic computer skills in various software and web-based applications.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and have reliable transportation.


Working Conditions


We are open for business six (6) days each week, Monday through Saturday. Rotating Saturday schedule that averages one (1) Saturday per month, less than three (3) hours.

·      Requires travel to other bank locations.

  • Overtime may be required.
  • Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift up to twenty (25) pounds.
